UnionWest is a great example of collaboration and teamwork. First, its creation came about as a joint effort between two higher-education heavyweights in the University of Central Florida and Valencia College. Second, the building has a dual function, serving as apartments for students to live in and classrooms where they learn. UnionWest serves as a crucial cornerstone in the very concept of Creative Village, where students can learn, graduate, and then funnel right into the high-tech private sector in the same exact neighborhood.
PROJECT DETAILS:
The successful completion of this project was a welcome exercise in hat-switching collaboration, as Creative Sign Designs worked closely with six different stakeholders: Creative Village’s master developer, Ustler Development, Inc.; the sub-developer, Development Ventures Group; Batson-Cook Construction, the general contractor on the project; the architect, Baker Barrios Architects; as well as the University of Central Florida and Valencia College. We would like to thank all the parties for allowing us to provide all the project’s signage and wall graphics.
